In Episode 1, Haematologist Dr. Michelle Lavin (RCSI and National Coagulation Centre, St James’ Hospital, Dublin, Ireland) and Paediatric Haematologist Dr. Sarah O’Brien (Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, OH, USA) have an insightful discussion on the signs and symptoms of a bleeding disorder in young girls and adult women, as well as the impact bleeding symptoms have on their lives. Dr. Lavin and Dr. O’Brien also provide guidance on the next steps first-line healthcare professionals need to take when they see a patient with abnormal bleeding.
